We Are For Veterans and Those Who Serve

At Veteran Financial Connect, we understand first hand the challenges many veterans face when it comes to their financial well being and importantly, the financial future of themselves and their family during service and post discharge.

We want to see veterans take advantage of the financial opportunity that serving provides them and the financial path it can set them on, and we want to see veterans who have served, take advantage of the opportunity their DVA compensation claims can provide.

We aim to provide veterans with a platform where they can identify, connect and engage with a range of financial and legal services that will help them today, and for their future.

We are passionate to ensure that we use veteran businesses first where ever we can, as we know that as veterans, we will always take care of our own.

Veteran Financial Connect also does not invoice DVA, as our costs are covered by those advertising our platform, and this allows us to be truly focused on what is best for our community.

Financial Services That Veterans Can Use

At Veteran Financial Connect, we provide an information gateway for veterans to identify and engage with the financial and legal services they may be looking for across:

  • DVA PI and SRDP compensation financial advice

  • Defence transition financial advice (know what the day after discharge looks like)

  • General financial advice and retirement planning

  • Mortgage Brokers (Veterans themselves)

  • Accountants and Tax Agents

  • Wills

Veteran Financial Connect also supports those who serve our community - Police, Fire, Ambulance, and Corrective Services - to access these same services via our platform.

Financial Challenges Facing Veterans

Despite service members saving money at the same rate as civilians, a survey found over one third of veterans reported facing difficulties in paying bills and that only half of the respondents had money set aside for a rainy day or an emergency.

Veterans can face an array of barriers to financial well-being, including when going through the discharge process facing an uncertain financial future, marriage breakdown and child support, difficulties budgeting and making ends meet, limited financial knowledge, poor judgement around money making decisions and disruptions to employment post discharge due to service related injuries.

We also know that despite all this, identifying and taking up the opportunity to speak with a financial advisor is very under utilised within the veteran community, even when the fee is provided by Defence or DVA for that opportunity.

Veteran Financial Connect is committed to helping veterans take control of their finances, set themselves and their family up for the best possible future, and provide an independent platform for veterans to find the financial help, services and advice they need.

Our Passion is Our Veteran Community

Our veteran community suffers from a high rate of financial stress and distress, and we see Veteran Financial Connect as being an information and education platform for veterans, and to support our veteran community to identify, connect and engage with a range of financial services that can help their financial stability - and reduce the high rates of financial distress in our community.
We know the opportunities that serving and DVA compensation claims can provide for a person and their family's future, and we want to see veterans have access to the information they need to help them make the right financial decisions, and change the financial narrative that veterans before us have sadly seen and experienced.
We want to help veterans get that holistic financial support they need to create the future they want.
